PROPOSAL KELANTANESE FOOD
Introduction
Malaysia is well-known as a “Food Paradise” country. Most of the Malaysian people has tour all over the country to taste the uniqueness of Malaysian foods. A few types of foods which are authentically from different state like Johor and Malacca with spicy “Assam Pedas”, Negeri Sembilan is well-known for its “Masak Cili Api” and etc. The most unique is from Kelantan where the people, regardless of region or country are attracted to the authenticate of their food. The Kelantanese food, heavily influenced by Thai Food, is quite popular among Malaysians. In fact, many visitors come to Kelantan just to taste the special delicacies that can't be found anywhere else. The use of sugar is a must in every Kelantanese kitchen, and thus most Kelantanese dishes are sweet. Kelantanese food makes use of coconut milk more than anywhere else in the country. Curries are richer,creamier and more influenced by tastes of nearby Thailand. Basically in our project, we are going to introduce some of popular food in kelantanese. The idea of the food will be based on research and observation for our projects
Objective
To introduce the kelantanese food for people around and gain some feedback through the observation and taste by customer via digital as well as website.
Type of foods
Nasi Kerabu ( Mixed Special Rice)
Nasi kerabu is one of the famous rice in Malaysia. It is authentically from Kelantan since ancient time. Even though it is famous, its rare to find during normal days and it's popular during fasting months. The Nasi Kerabu is basically served with Budu (Fish Sauce), a variety of leafs and salted egg. The taste is just spectacular for people who want to try this kind of authentic kelantanese Delight
Nasi Dagang
Nasi Dagang is quite a unique and delicious meal. This kind of cuisine is quite a lot and popular in Night Markets around Kuala Lumpur. The nasi dagang is rice mix with glutinous rice and serve with Tuna curry and a few vegetables as dishes.
Laksam
The laksa dish, white noodles served with curry and vegetables, is made differently in every state in Malaysia. The Kelantanese Laksa employs the creamy white gravy which is richer and has full-bodied flavor. The main ingredients are fish chucks, although connoisseurs would certainly prefer the ones made of eels.
Ayam Percik
Ayam percik is chicken coated with spicy creamy sauce. It's tasty and sometime is serve with Nasi Kerabu
Traditional Kelantanese Kuih (Pastries)
Our project is all about the foods that is authentic in Malaysia and specifically Kelantan. We are going to organize our project based on the most attractable in our website. Most of the foods will have special picture and review as well as recipes to make it. We will make it to be more interesting with the attractive colors and make it interesting and attract tourist to come and taste the dishes especially in Kelantanese. The feedback that we obtain from the comments from tourist will give us benefits in order to expand to the whole country. Meanwhile the reason to develop this website is to introduce to the people especially tourist about the Malaysian dishes.
Targeted viewer
The viewer of this website are basically important to ensure that this website gets feedback and meets the objective. Meanwhile the targeted viewer is not only the tourist, but for local people as well since not everybody knows what the variety of Kelantanese food are. Besides that, since the Kelatanese is one of attractable place, the introducing of strange foods can also give a lot of benefits to the tourist as well as the local people who intent to visit Kelantan. Based on the group's agreement, the end user/the target audience ranging from 18-50 who are international and domestic tourists. they're usually tend to know and find the latest information from a website. especially info that relates with our assigment that is FOOD.
Based on the demographics of the end user/target audience profile, the theme colour of the webpage is lime green to illustrate hunger and interesting effect. To ensure the website doesn't look plain and boring we will add colorful pictures and some recipe. Food categories will be organized in tabs so it will look organized. The logo of Malaysian Tourism will also be included in this website to make it more official and trusted by the readers.
